Reply and attend

How you reply to invitations, bring plus-ones, pay for tickets and handle changes.

Invitations arrive either as a link (email, SMS, chat, QR code) or appear on your dashboard if the host invited you through Inbjuden. You reply with yes, no or maybe — and depending on the event you can also add plus-ones, note dietary preferences or pay.

At a glance

No account needed to say yes to free events — name and email are enough.

You can change your reply any time through the same link.

Plus-ones and siblings go in the same form as the RSVP reply.

Swish payment goes straight to the host — Inbjuden takes no cut.

Cancelling sends no automatic message — contact the host if late.

If you're managing incoming replies

As host you see every reply in real time and can export the list.

Open the 'Attendees' tab

On the event's detail page — the 'Attendees' tab shows four groups: 'Going', 'Declined', 'Maybe' and 'Waitlist' (if you set a max). The counters update automatically as new replies come in.

See per-guest details

Click a row to see dietary preferences, plus-one names, notes and contact details. This is also where you mark 'Paid' (for paid events) or 'No-show' afterwards if someone didn't turn up.

Send reminders

Invitations tab → 'Send reminder' — pick which groups should get it (e.g. only 'Maybe' or 'Not replied'), write a short message and confirm. Reminders go via email/SMS depending on what the guest registered.

Export attendee list

Three-dot menu on the 'Attendees' tab → 'Export CSV'. You get a file with name, contact, RSVP status, dietary preferences and plus-ones — handy for seating, table planning or catering orders.

Manage the waitlist

If the event has a max and fills up, new 'yes' replies land on the waitlist. When someone cancels you can click a person on the waitlist and pick 'Move to Going' — they get an automatic notification.

If you're a guest

You reply via the link — Inbjuden makes it easy even without an account.

Open the invitation

Click the link you got. The event's public page shows date, location, description and RSVP buttons. Free events don't require an account — just name and email to reply.

Pick your reply

Click 'Yes', 'No' or 'Maybe'. If the event is private or requires an account you'll be asked to sign in / register first. Your reply goes straight to the host — you get a confirmation by email/SMS.

Add plus-ones

If the host allowed extra guests you'll see fields for 'Plus-ones' (adults) or 'Siblings' (family events). Fill in the name of each — it helps the host plan food, seating and age groups. Don't forget to fill in for yourself if it's required.

Pay if required

For paid events a payment summary appears after you said yes. Click 'Pay with Swish' — on mobile Swish opens directly, on desktop you get a QR to scan. Use the prefilled reference so the host can find your payment more easily. It can take a few minutes before your status changes to 'Paid'.

Tips & FAQ

1

Change your reply later

Use the same link as before. If you replied without an account — use the same email/phone as the first time and Inbjuden will find your earlier reply and let you change it. No login needed.

2

Plus-ones vs siblings

Plus-ones are adult companions (your partner to the wedding). Siblings only show on family events and mean children under the same guardian. The host controls which option appears.

3

Cancellation

Changing your reply from 'Yes' to 'No' works as cancellation. You get the option to write a short explanation visible to the host. If the event is full with a waitlist, the next person in line is moved up automatically.

4

No automatic reminder if you replied 'Maybe'

Inbjuden only sends automatic reminders to confirmed attendees. 'Maybe' replies are treated as open; the host sees them but can choose to send a separate reminder just to the maybe group.

5

Private events require login

If the event is locked to a group (private visibility) you must be a member of that group to see it. Log in first — otherwise you'll see a message instead of the event details.
