Calendar — sync and share
Get an overview of all your events and attendees, export to other calendars and share a joint view with your family or group.
Inbjuden's calendar gathers everything you've RSVPed to, everything you organise and every event from groups you belong to. You can filter by category, export as an ICS link or subscription to Google/Apple/Outlook, or share a link so the family sees the same view.
At a glance
All your events (your own + invited + group) collected in one view.
Filter by status (going/maybe), category or child.
Export as ICS link or subscription to Google/Apple/Outlook.
Import ICS files from other calendars.
Share a joint view with a family member via link or QR.
If you want to sync with an external calendar
You set up a subscription once — then new events show up automatically in your regular calendar.
Open calendar export
In the sidebar — 'Calendar' → three-dot menu → 'Export'. You land on a page with your personal ICS link and ready-made subscription instructions per calendar service.
Add to Google Calendar
Copy the ICS link from Inbjuden. In Google Calendar — '+ Add other calendar' → 'From URL' → paste the link. New events from Inbjuden now appear automatically (can take up to a few hours — Google controls the refresh frequency).
Add to Apple Calendar / iCloud
On iPhone — Settings → Calendar → Accounts → Add Account → Other → Add Subscribed Calendar. Paste the ICS link. On Mac — Calendar → File → New Calendar Subscription.
Import an ICS file
Got an .ics file (e.g. from an old calendar)? 'Calendar' → 'Import ICS' → pick the file → confirm. Inbjuden shows a preview of the events before you import for real.
Share a joint view
Want the family to see the same calendar? 'Calendar' → 'Share' → pick what should be visible (everything, just children's, just a particular group) → get a link or QR to send. The recipient doesn't need an Inbjuden account to view the shared view.
If you're just viewing the calendar
Daily use is simple — the calendar is always up to date without you having to do anything.
Navigate between months and weeks
Use the arrows at the top to change period, or click a month/year to jump directly. Mobile shows day or week view by default; desktop shows month view.
Filter what's shown
Click 'Filter' top right. You can hide cancelled events, show only confirmed, filter by child or group. The filters stick to next time.
Click an event for details
One click opens a summary. Two clicks (or 'Show details') takes you to the event's full page with RSVP, location, guests and comments.
Open a shared view from a link
Clicking a shared calendar link (from family or a group) opens the view without you having to log in. Bookmark it — the link is permanent until the owner regenerates it.
Tips & FAQ
How often does the subscription update?
Google Calendar fetches the ICS feed every 12-24 hours — Google controls this, not Inbjuden. For faster updates: open the calendar in Inbjuden directly (always live), or use manual sync in your calendar app.
Private events appear in the subscription
Everything you've RSVPed to lands in the ICS feed, including private events. If you don't want your partner seeing some events — use the 'Share' feature instead of handing out your own ICS link.
Regenerate the link if it leaked
Think someone unauthorised got hold of your ICS link? Three-dot menu on the export page → 'Generate new link'. The old one stops working immediately — you need to update the subscription in your calendar app.
Children's calendars show separately
If you've added children with school/preschool affiliations — their events (holidays, planning days, class events) show in the calendar and can be filtered separately per child.
