Get started & your profile
Learn the system via the welcome flow and keep your profile up to date so the right people can find you.
When you log in for the first time you meet a welcome flow in ten steps that helps you fill in basics, interests and any children — so Inbjuden can recommend relevant events and groups. Every step is optional; you can skip and fill in later via your profile page.
At a glance
10-step wizard you can skip or pause any time.
Your home address drives local event recommendations and neighbourhood groups.
Interests + children info make matching more personal.
Every profile field can be made public or private individually.
Later changes go through Profile and Settings in the sidebar.
Onboarding — the first time you log in
The wizard guides you at a comfortable pace — fill in what you can now, the rest can wait.
Profile and contact
Steps 1-2: name, profile image, short bio, email and optional phone number. Every field has a 'public / private' toggle so you decide what others see. Email can be hidden entirely or shared only with friends.
Home address
Step 3 is important — your address is used to find events near you, suggest neighbours and show local groups. The address is never public; it's only used for matching. You can add several addresses later (e.g. both Stockholm and the summer house).
School or work
Step 4: search the registry for your school, preschool, workplace or association. If you find it you're automatically added to that group and can see internal events. Totally optional — skip if you don't want to link up.
Interests and children
Steps 5-6: pick at least three interests (cooking, padel, board games, dogs…) — they drive recommendations. If you have children, add them in step 6 with name, birth year and optional school/preschool. Extra important if you want to find family events.
Groups and first event
Steps 7-9: find or create a group, dream up a wish-event (something you want someone else to organise), and optionally create your own first event. All optional — if you just want to look around first you can skip all three.
Recommendations
Step 10 shows suggested events and groups based on what you filled in. Here you head to the dashboard and start using Inbjuden — or back out and tweak if any suggestion feels off.
Later — edit profile and settings
Everything you filled in can be changed. Profile for content, Settings for privacy and notifications.
Open your profile
Click your avatar top right or pick 'Profile' in the sidebar. You'll see an overview — name, bio, interests, achievements and your events/groups. Click 'Edit' to change basics.
Change privacy
Settings (cog icon) → 'Privacy'. There's 'Profile visibility' (public / contacts only / private) plus individual toggles for email, phone and address. 'Private' hides the whole profile — others only see your name.
Manage notifications
Settings → 'Notifications'. Turn email, browser push notifications and SMS on/off for different events (new invitations, RSVP updates, group posts, reminders). You can have different preferences per channel.
Add children or addresses later
Profile → 'Children' and 'Addresses' are their own sections. Add more children over time or change the primary address when you move. Addresses are only used for recommendations — they're not shown publicly.
Tips & FAQ
You can skip the whole wizard
If the welcome flow feels too long — click 'Skip' or 'To the dashboard' at the top. You'll land directly on the dashboard and can fill in the profile later via Settings.
The wizard remembers where you were
If you leave the wizard mid-flow and come back later — it opens on the same step where you stopped. To start over, go to 'Settings' → 'Account' → 'Run onboarding again'.
Your address is never public
Other users never see your exact street address. Inbjuden only uses it internally to match you against local events and neighbourhood groups (approximate area — district level).
Children under 13
When you add children under 13 you have to confirm the guardian relationship via a checkbox. Inbjuden doesn't allow children under 13 to have their own accounts — they're always handled via a guardian.
Delete your account
Settings → 'Account' → 'Delete my account'. That starts a GDPR process where your personal data is deleted within 30 days. You get a confirmation by email with the option to cancel within 7 days.
