Notifications & privacy
Full control over what you show, which notifications you receive and how your personal data is handled per GDPR.
Inbjuden only collects the data needed for the service to work, and you decide what others see. Here we walk through the most important privacy settings, how to tune notifications and how to delete your account or export your data.

Your profile can be public, contacts-only or fully private.
Each field (email, phone, address, children) has its own toggle.

Setting up your privacy
Do it once — then it works in the background.
Open privacy settings
Click your avatar (top right) → 'Settings' → 'Privacy' tab. You'll see three levels: 'Profile visibility' (public / contacts / private) and individual toggles for every data field.
Pick profile visibility
'Public' — anyone can find you via search. 'Contacts only' — only people you share events/groups with see your profile. 'Private' — no one sees anything but your name (not even your photo).
Control individual fields
Below the main option — toggles for 'Email', 'Phone', 'Address', 'Birth year', 'Children'. Each field can be public even if the profile is private, or hidden even if the profile is public. Useful when you want to show a photo but not your email.
Tune notifications per channel
'Notifications' tab. Three columns: email, push, SMS. Rows for each event type (invitations, RSVP replies, group posts, reminders, system). Tick exactly what you want via which channel.
Manage blocks and reports
Want to block someone? Click their profile → three-dot menu → 'Block'. They no longer see you in search, can't invite you and their messages are hidden. Blocks are listed in 'Settings' → 'Account' → 'Blocked'.
Export or delete your data
You own your data — Inbjuden gives you full control per GDPR.
Export your data
'Settings' → 'Account' → 'Request data export'. Within 24 hours you'll get an email with a ZIP file containing all your personal data, events, RSVP history, group memberships and messages. The file is in JSON format, so it's readable or importable to other services.
Delete your account
'Settings' → 'Account' → 'Delete my account'. You'll have to confirm with your password and a short explanation (optional). This starts a 30-day process where all your personal data is deleted or anonymised.
Cancel within 7 days
After you've requested deletion you'll get a confirmation email with a cancel link that's valid for 7 days. Click it and the process stops — the account is intact. After 7 days, deletion can't be undone.
What happens to events and comments?
Your own events and comments are anonymised (shown as 'Deleted user'). RSVPs to others' events are deleted entirely. Groups you admin must get a new admin before the account is deleted — you'll get a list of what needs to be handled.
Tips & FAQ
Your address is never public
Regardless of your settings, Inbjuden never shows your exact street address to other users. It's only used internally for recommendations (approximate area — district level).
Children get extra protection
Children under 13 are never shown with full name or photo publicly — only to others in the same class group or parent-confirmed contacts. You can hide them entirely if you want.
Search can't find private profiles
Setting the profile to 'Private' removes you from search results. Existing contacts still see your name in their friend circles, but can't click through to the profile.
Notifications are saved in a log
Everything you've received as a notification is visible in the 'Notifications' tab (bell icon top right). You can mark as read or archive — nothing is deleted automatically.
Want to just pause instead of delete?
Turn off all notifications and set the profile to 'Private' — then you're effectively invisible without losing data. Log back in later and turn back on what you want.
